Generating an Inventory Report

You can access your list of inventories from either of the following pages:

Select either the In Progress or the Completed tab. To sort the list, click any column heading to sort in ascending order (Sorted ascending). Click again to sort the list in descending order (Sorted descending).

In Progress Inventory reports

  1. Click View adjacent to the inventory. The Progress Details page opens.
Note: If you are a district textbooks manager, the District Textbook Inventory page opens. Click View next to the site you wish to view.

For copies with barcodes, Destiny displays the number of Accounted for and Unaccounted for copies. For copies without barcodes, Destiny displays the number of Titles with counts and Titles without counts.
If the inventory includes only copies without barcodes (or Consumables), you cannot generate an inventory report.

  2. Select the copies you want to include on the report and click Run Report.
  3. When the Report Manager opens, click View to open the job summary.
  4. Click Barcode Report.

Completed Inventory reports

  1. Click View adjacent to the inventory.
  2. Click Barcode Report or Title Count Report on the Job Summary that opens.
Note: If you are a District Textbooks Administrator, you can view the District Barcode Detail Report, the District Title Count Report, or the District Summary Report.

If the inventory includes only copies without barcodes, there is no District Barcode Detail Report.

If the inventory includes only copies with barcodes, there is no District Title Count Report.

To delete a completed inventory, click Remove on the Completed tab of In Progress & Completed Inventories.
Please note that, once you delete an inventory, you can no longer generate its reports.
Once you delete its Completed Inventory Report, you can no longer view the completed inventory.

How is the report sorted?

The report is sorted first by Location in alphabetical order. Destiny starts a new page for each Location.

If you chose "All copies in the inventory", the copies are grouped into Accounted For and Unaccounted For sections.

Within each section, the titles appear in alphabetical order; the copies appear in numerical order by barcode number.

What is the "date last seen"?

Every time Destiny updates information about a copy during one of the following transactions or processes, Destiny also updates its date last seen information:

So, for example, if you checked in textbooks or received some in a transfer last week, you can set the date to a week ago. Then you do not need to scan those copies.
